RASCAL depicts three creatures lifting a fallen companion who is encased in a cage. A suet cage, a symbol of home for me. The artwork is an exploration of the volatility and velocity life, and being back in my home town. I envy animals like diving birds and sea lions that glide through life in their explosive and graceful ballet. To dive into the ocean and let worries and the world dissolve off in a fizz of one million bubbles.
The sculpt in the artwork will be used to create a physical sculpture in 2025.
